The text above is from the chat window of the “Global Revolution” live stream at about 7:00 this morning (2:00 PM Sunday, 2 October New York time). I tuned in to this live broadcast from the middle of the March to Wall Street yesterday morning, after following Twitter updates from @TheOther99 (also known as “Wall Street”). At the time, I was one of about 19,000 viewers logged on. Many were contributing to the live chat as they watched the action unfold and listened to the play-by-play provided by a citizen journalist, who was one of the protesters on the Brooklyn Bridge heading for the heart of New York City’s financial district. This morning, as I sit down with my first cup of coffee on another fine Dunedin day, I’m checking out Occupy Together, the unofficial hub of activities across the United States, and 15October.net, a site calling for coordinated global action on 15 October. This is way more exciting than the Rugby World Cup!

The revolution will not be televised, but it will be streamed to whoever wants to follow it and participate in global change.
